New BGE Article

A new article on BGE, by Sandra Stenzenberger and myself, has now been published in the Journal for EuroLinguistiX. The article deals with teaching pronunciation, vocabulary and communication skills and tests different skills with respect to the Common European Framework of Reference.

BGE: Sustainability Event at Eichstätt’s dm-market

BGE at Eichstätt’s dm market

The German dm company, together with UNESCO, has called on its customers to hand in projects that promote the idea of sustainability. We handed in a description of Basic Global English and were selected for the second phase of this contest, which consists of presenting the project at the local dm-market. Handbook of Eurolinguistics published!

Uwe Hinrichs‘ encyclopedic Handbuch der Eurolinguistik has now been published. It also includes two articles by myself: one on Global English (including BGE), the other on communicative strategies in European languages.

BGE as Company-Internal Training, Day 1

A new BGE Experiment has begun. Today was the first lesson with a new BGE adult group, a company-internal training. The plan is to teach them 2 lessons (= 2 x 90 min.) each Monday, with a lunch break in between.
